They are both based on the Space Shuttle, SB89 at a quick glance looks the same, but is obviously a new casting as the roof panels are molded differently and the rear engine is much more detailed

Additionally, the plastic content is much higher on the new one. :(

I hope I'm allowed to post these here, but I'm new to collecting SB"s and I've found these links handy for myself:

http://www.suchoj.com/Impressum/index.h ... HBOX.shtml

and this one is good because you can select the year and see what one's were sold:

Of course you are allowed, we are all about the hobby here and sharing that information with everyone who is looking. I think most people realise that no one place can ahve all the answers to all the questions so we find it in other places, other websites or books etc. and when we do...please feel free to share it.

I have used the http://www.mbxforum.com site for some time myself, its a really good resource.

Dear Friends is there anybody out there who has ever made a list of SB issues by year (FROM START TO 2004). Don't need to be complete. Any info is welcome. I tried to reconstruct it as good as possible on the site but still miss here and there some information. By the way pictures are always welcome. Not only for SB but any picture we are missing. So far we have 35.000 pictures on line in the catalog and growing each day! But nothwithstanding this we still use any comments, any ideas for improvement, any help.

At the moment we are working to extend our software with a function as where you can generate your own wish list from the on line catalog. I keep you informed on the progress.

I am by no means an expert on the Skybusters, but I think all of those are standard issues.
