K-8/M-8 Combo Casting Car Transporter

Postby CharlieMack » Thu Jan 28, 2016 5:35 am

I found an intriguing model at the York, PA show back in November. I happened to walk by a stall and saw a loose K-8 (or M-8) Car Transporter. Something told me to pick it up and turn it over. To my amazement it had a K-8 King Size cab but with a M-8 Major Pack trailer. It can not be swapped as this piece is riveted together. I snatched it up for $25.00! I tried putting a pic here but the file apparently is too large to share (same size I use on Ebay) Will post pic to my Facebook page (at Charles Mack)

Charlie, that's an excellent find. They are out there, but I suspect there's not too many of them. I've only ever seen one of them before and it was in an extensive collection.

With regards to the photo issue, just use photo bucket or another cloud based photo host. They will resize the pic automatically. If you don't want to bother with that, email me the pic and I post it here in the thread.

Just add 1332@aol.com to my forum user name (i.e. tinman before the 1332). Or, you can click on "profile" button and then click on the "AIM" button and it will display my email address. Sorry to be so cryptic but I don't want the spam bots gleaning my email address, I already get too much spam.

That is very cool. Was that truck also made with both pieces King size or both Major Packs? I have one as well, but never looked at the bases on it. I just wanted because it is cool, and I wanted to use it to show off some of my cars!
