Horace Dunkley

Postby charliep » Sat Dec 05, 2015 1:42 pm

I just just received the sad news that Horace Dunkley passed away. For those that have been collecting Matchbox Models of Yesteryears for a long time surely know him as he was very active in the hobby. He wrote numerous articles back when MICA magazines were published and also authored numerous books about his beloved Models of Yesteryear. I used to really enjoy reading his articles as they were so passionately written and very informative. May he rest in peace.

Very sad news indeed Kevin.
My deepest sympathy to his wife Jenny.

Horace have written a lot about MOY, not only for the MICA magazine from 1985 on but also a huge and very in depth series of articles about MOY for the Diecast Collector magazine.

When Horace decided to sell his superb Matchbox Models of Yesteryear collection back in 2010 at 65 years of age the Vectis autionhouse published this, a good read for whom who did not know Horace:
