Official Matchbox Instagram Pics

Postby admin » Thu Jan 14, 2016 9:33 am

As many are aware Mattel have now got an official Instagram account where they post some images of new models and other stuff, but as not everyone has Instagram I thought I would start a thread so everyone can see what they are up to and there is no better way to start than the new MB1020 : Volvo 60

Cheers Brad. I did try to copy this pic and post earlier but had no joy. Can't wait to see the final version.

That looks great. Not too sure of the wheels though. The latest MX-5 is quite a modern looking car and these wheels look best on classic/older cars IMHO.

I agree those wheels dont look right on a modern MX5 but it is worth noting that these images are direct from Matchbox and are photos of prototypes, so by the time we actually see the model in store they may be a different colour, have tampo prints that are not currently shown and of course the wheel design may change.

It's easy to tell from the wheels on the Miata that it's sure to be way bigger than 1/64. Par for the course when MB does small cars. :(

Wonder what scale the Volvo is. :?:

Good castings.

But the age old problem of distribution.......... I fear only the US&A will benefit.

I am after a F Type........but Matchbox is dead around these parts with no new stock.

My local Tesco store did have 5 of the F-type in last week. I checked last night and they were all gone. It seems to be very popular.

I am liking what I am seeing in the pictures. This is the Matchbox that I love. Real vehicles that you see on the streets being recreated in a miniature form. This is why I have not given up on the brand. If they continue churning out models like these I will very happily continue hunting down models like these.

:) :D :P
