Battlekings retaining clips.

Postby matchboxmark » Fri May 06, 2016 5:42 pm

Evening all.
I've just joined the forum so would like to say hi to each and all, along with a question;

I'm in need of two of the metal (or plastic) 90' turn retaining clips that retain some of the [predominantly] BattleKing models securely in their boxes, I've checked a few times on ebay but yet to no avail, so wondering if anyone may know if there's a stockist of reproductive ones ?

Thanks, Mark.

I don't think that these were ever re-produced by any outside parties. I have only accumulated mine via years of collecting/receiving many without clips BUT some do have them still.

You can always tell those sellers that lie about a model NEVER being out of the box......it has no clip inside to hold it in place.

It would be nice to have repro parts in this case.

I've continued scouring ebay & Google but still no luck. ,Previously working as an engineer producing specialist instrumentation several times we had custom parts 3D printed, so it may be worthwhile considering this option for the clips, printed in batches of ~30 or so, I'll look into it & report my findings on costs.

Makerbot 3D printed parts are quite strong and could do the job for sure.
