Sea Kings

Hello all,
I just joined the forum. I was a wee lad in the mid sixties so the Matchbox 75 series was a focus point. I only have 4 models left(sold the rest on ebay a few years ago) much to my chagrin. My questions: (1) is the Sea Kings ship models actively collected by any forum members? (2) are they made to a particular scale, roughly speaking? Maybe 1/1200?? I know the ship models are way off scale compared to each other because the aircraft carrier is only marginally longer(10-15mm) that the corvette, battleship ect... What are your thoughts/ideas. Thanks. :D

Well after 6 days and no replies, I assume there are not too many people currently collecting Sea Kings. They certainly do not compare to Navis/Neptun scale ship models, but they don't cost $100 either.

Yea, I agree. Me, you and the admin. :D Oh well. I now have 12 Sea Kings only three with boxes and they are only in fair shape. But I want to display these so I am not too upset about the boxes. I do get a chuckle at some of the ebay sellers as several state various models are a battleship which is clearly wrong. Wow 4K vehicles that seems like a dream to me. I couldn't store that many let alone buy them.

I have never been interested myself, but after your post decided to have another look. Think I might try to get some now :D

Now who said public forums do nothing for the economy. Yea I hear you. I was looking at Tootsie Toy metal ship models then saw some Sea Kings and decided I wanted them instead. I am buying my Sea Kings just for fun but one aspect is intriguing: production numbers have to be much smaller than probably any other Matchbox theme.
